MSS (Midland Shared Spaces) collaborates with and supports nonprofits across the Permian Basin. These relationships lay the groundwork for strong programs and efforts that positively impact our community. Donations to MSS support our ongoing work to enhance nonprofit efficiency, provide affordable workspace and back office services, and foster collaborations that better serve the nonprofits and people of Midland County. For Permian Basin Gives 2021, we are excited to announce a generous pledge by Haynie & Company to match ALL donations up to $5,000! This is a great opportunity to double your impact with MSS and the nonprofits we serve.

Nonprofit Efficiency Connecting Community Service Beyond the Walls
MSS provides quality, well appointed workspace to meet the needs of our nonprofit tenants. 15  tenant agencies in a variety of service  areas have access to shared conference spaces that allow for high quality in person and virtual meetings and events. MSS encourages collaboration throughout the nonprofit sector by bringing groups of similar focus together for the better. MSS supports a wide variety of nonprofits by encouraging across the sector communication through sharing of information and resources. MSS provides nonprofits access to tools that improve mission success including MSS Connections, an online volunteer “matchmaking” service for nonprofits. In 2020 MSS began an expansion of IT Services to nonprofits outside of the facility.

What is Permian Basin Gives?

The Permian Basin is known for its strength and resilience. Throughout history, the people of this region have faced challenges head-on with grit and determination. In 2020, the COVID-19 Pandemic and dramatic decline of the oil and gas industry have created a perfect storm in our community, yet the nonprofits of Midland and Odessa continue to ensure the citizens receive critical services and support.

Beginning 12:01 a.m. on Tuesday, May 18 until 11:59 p.m. your gift has the power to create significant change. Only gifts received during this 24 hour period can be applied to the goal and are eligible for matching donations for those designated agencies.

Giving days are designed for individual donors who may feel that the amount they could donate would be too small to have an impact. However, there is power in numbers, and area nonprofits will use Permian Basin Gives as an opportunity to encourage individual donors to make a bigger impact by giving at the same time.
